Mary has a gift for re-imagining the uses of clothing and fabric. From many different sources - a dress of your grandmother's, your child's baby clothes, vintage fabric, denim jeans - Mary will piece together a beautiful quilt that will evoke loving memories for generations to come.

From the left, Teresa, Alice and Mary are inspecting Teresa's Memory Quilt, talking about the origin of the different fabrics. Here’s an interesting fact about this quilt - Mary found the binding in her mother's scrap box, already cut to the perfect size! Did she know Mary would need that someday? Sometimes when Mary is stumped for a solution to stitching difficulties, she says a little prayer to her mom to help her figure it out!! And she usually answers in a timely fashion!! |

This Courthouse Step quilt was made for Mary's oldest sister Joan. It was Joan who taught Mary how to sew, crochet, and quilt. Again, Mary used clothing and fabrics from their childhood to create this wonderful work of art. |

Two of Mary's children, Pierre and Teresa, warm up under this denim Snail Trail quilt made for Mary's son Robert. Many members of the family donated favorite pairs of jeans to be used in the quilt. She also made this matching Memory Bear to go with it. |

First take the small woolen scraps found in Grandma’s antique suitcase, minus the mothballs. Then add Grandpa's itchy wool army blanket, along with recycled jeans from everyone in the family. Mix them all together and after a good washing, add the quilting stitches and a few good buttons et Voila le tour est fait! A new blanket for Noah, the collegiate in Wisconsin, to keep him warm with memories! |
